Currently we have 3 bucks on the farm!
First up is our mature 1 year old (almost 2-year-old) buck, Coyote Ledge Inside Scoop (aka Remi)
Remi comes from a line of beautiful Oberhasli goats. His dam (mother) Coyote Ledge Burke (CH EEEV 90) and sire (father) Coyote Ledge Epimetheus (CH VEE 90) are both champions (hence the CH in their title) and have made an impact on the Oberhasli breed! Remi was paired last year with one of our senior does and they created a very flashy doe! We have high hopes for this prodigy!
Second, is our under 1 year old buck, Googins Farm Handsome Hugo. His dam From Away Farm Charmin Charly and sire Crooked Bridge Clay Henry are both some magnificent Obies. Henry’s sire is Sir Echo Tayco, the 2021 Spotlight Sale Oberhasli! We unexpectedly lost Henry this spring so in order to keep the genetics in our herd, we retained his son. Charley is a very nice doe and was Camden’s very first Oberhasli dairy goat! Charley is easily Camden’s heart goat. She has a beautiful disposition, topline and a mammary system that always blows us away every kidding. Hugo wasn’t tall enough to breed with this year, but next year we plan to have lots of does for him to flirt with! (Pictures will be forthcoming)
Last but not least in our buck herd is, Hillaire Farm RTO Labyrinth (aka Buddy). His dam is Hillaire Farm Hail Mary and Ober-Boerd Return to Oz. Buddy was not planned, but when the opportunity presented itself, we just couldn’t resist! Buddy was born in May of 2024 so not big enough to use in breeding this year, but his genetics bring in some powerhouse possibilities! (pictures will be forthcoming)
